| Description: | Ilse is my husband's mother; she is from Braunschweig, Germany; in 1947 she married and had a daughter, Carola, at age 17; Carola's father is Romanian; they were seperated when Carola was one; father took Carola for visit and did not return her to Ilse; Ilse called police who could do nothing because they were still legally married, no custody order; Carola was adopted by father's cousins without Ilse's consent; Ilse does not know if Carola knows she was adopted; Ilse has marriage certificate, divorce papers, Carola's birth certificate and documents in German from Austria-Swiss Embassy with cousins names and the date that the cousins applied for a visa to Brazil, with the name of the village in Brazil. Ilse's Romanian mother in law kept in touch with Ilse, the last letter included a high school photo of Carola. In 1969, Ilse visited Germany, learned that Carola was married with children still in Brazil. She was not told Carola's married name or where she lived. She also learned that Carola's father had come to the USA, Chicago area in 1952; Ilse came to USA in 1951. Ilse will be 80 years old on Dec 2, 2009. She gave me permission to seek her daughter; Can you help us to find Carola, please. Thank you.

Mother: Ilse Stephan, born 12/2/29 in Brunswick, Bremhaven, Germany.
Father: Mathias Adam Kocher born 1/1/22 in Degga, Romania.
Married 2/8/47.
Carola Eva Kocher born 5/29/47 in Brunswick, Bremhaven Germany. Divorced 8/9/48.
Mr Kocher's cousins Robert Zukdolak and Elsa Klein adopted Carola without Ilse's permission and took Carola to Austria.
Swiss Embassy records show that on 7/16/51 they applied for visa to Guara Puava, Perana, Brazil.
Copies of all documentation can be provided. |
